Through the years, I have always seen such creative ways to help students remember reading strategies (beanie babies). I never found those creative and cute ways to help my students remember their math strategies. So I have begun my search for a way to help my students (and the older elementary students) to remember the process for solving problems. I came up with the idea of using a glove with strategies attached to it. (I've seen something done in similar fashion for reading, but I had never seen a math version.)
Hopefully this will help those students who need a visual cue to help them remember how to solve math problems.
The posters that go along with the glove help to explain what the student should be asking at each step of the problem solving process.
Hopefully with this strategy, your students will have Problem Solving in the glove!
Enjoy!

So....do YOU wear the glove during math? Or did you make one for each kid? I'm definitely downloading the posters...then the glove when I figure it out! ;) Thanks for sharing! And I'm a new blogger, too. ;)

I wear the glove, although if you found cheap gloves you could always make one for each student. I did not come up with the ideas on the posters, I just adapted them to fit the glove idea and added the pictures. The glove is simply a way to help the students remember the steps.
