As we begin the adventure of working with our Kindergarten GT students, one must have for my classroom was Sandra Kaplan's Icons for understanding Depth and Complexity. Like everything else in my classroom, I wanted "cute" icons with lots of bright colors so I modified the icons for my classroom. I was lucky enough to attend a session with Dr. Kaplan long before the icons became popular. She is truly a master at helping students develop to the best of their abilities.
This is my adapted version of the Icons for my classroom.
Hi Jayne,
ReplyDeleteI love your blog! You have some A-MA-ZING resources. I just wanted to let you know, in case you weren't aware, that all of the links you provided to your documents are not working. I'm new to blogging as well and I sometimes forget that I have to save the docs on Microsoft Word as PDF's before I upload them to my google docs. It's really easy to do... all you have to do is open up your document on Microsoft Word and then go to File and click on 'save as' and then choose the 'PDF' option. Then when you browse to upload on Google Docs you make sure to choose the one that is a PDF instead of your regular document. I hope this helps. I had a hard time in the beginning with this too. :)
